Developer Techland promises that Dying Light 2 Stay Human won’t be abandoned even as the studio works on their next game, Dying Light: The Beast.
In an interview with Prankster 101, franchise director Tymon Smektala assured fans that the studio isn’t abandoning the game and that they want it “growing in parallel with The Beast.”
“… we are not abandoning Dying Light 2, and I want to highlight this and emphasize this and underline this, because Dying Light 2 will still get all of the support that we have promised, so at least 5 years of support. New updates are coming, so the game is definitely going to be supported. We feel that it might be growing in parallel with The Beast. Of course, players may start to wonder, “okay, so I now actually have three games that I can start my Dying Light adventure in, so which one should I get?” We leave it to them to answer this question. But Dying Light 2 is definitely going to be supported.”
Understandably, fans were worried with the new game in the works, Techland would abandon the game, it released back in 2022, after all. That said, even as you reach the credits, the team has ensured there’s stuff to do from seasonal events to continued big and small updates to Tower Raid, which is a rougelike mode.
